Jordan Academy for Maritime Studies

The Jordan Academy for Maritime Studies (JAMS) was established in early 2004. It is the first educational institution offering specialised courses in maritime education and training in Jordan. Certificates are offered in Marine Navigation, Nautical Engineering, and Nautical Electrical Engineering. The Academy has provided the Arab and international maritime sector with more than 22,300 maritime professionals of over 39 nationalities. The Academy provides students with fully equipped accommodation close to its learning facilities to ensure overseas students enjoy all means of comfort and safety.

School of Basic and Marine Sciences at Aqaba University College

Thanks to the geography of the Aqaba region as the only seaport in Jordan, and due to increasing market needs for talents in this field, the Council of Deans at Al- Balqa' Applied University (BAU) approved, at the beginning of the 2013/2014 academic year, the creation of the School of Marine Sciences, which offers a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Transport Technology.
